The 2010 Toyota 4Runner  is a very pleasant vehicle, comfortable and capacious. The Toyota 4Runner review stated this vehicle rides smoothly and quietly, brakes well, and has oodles of storage space. The 2010 4Runner is the result of deliberate, cautious, evolutionary development. Every alteration is moderate, and one of its biggest changes is actually an excision. The 2010 4Runner has a more pronounced look, highlighted by a more squared front grille and popping fender flares.

The 2010 Toyota 4Runner is taller, wider and longer and is available in a variety of configurations. The 2010 Toyota 4Runner gets major design upgrades inside and out with resemblance to the brand’s full-size truck and SUV lineup. Three trim levels are available on 4Runner: SR5, Limited and a sturdy Trail grade for those who require maximum offroad capability. The 2010 Toyota 4Runner comes in three distinct models, each with specialized equipment packages, to suit a variety of luxury, recreational capability, and affordability priorities. All are sturdily built, with an extensive suite of safety features, flexible seating, and multiple cargo options.

The Toyota 4Runner review also stated that the rear passengers have especially nice accommodations thanks to a reclining seatback and a theater-style rise over the front seats, though the center rear armrest is too low to be of much use. That retractable tailgate glass is Country-Squire cool and one-touch power for all windows is a thoughtful convenience. Rear seat comfort is good, and although the 60/40 flip-and-fold bench is contoured for two, the width and a nearly-flat floor mean that a center passenger won’t be too uncomfortable on short trips. The Limited offers a stowable third row, replacing the cargo deck, as an option.

The 2010 4Runner will be available in three different trims. The base SR5 will have all the features a typical SUV buyer wants, but buyers who want the 4Runner Limited will have an X-REAS self-leveling suspension system and full-time four-wheel drive. X-REAS automatically adjusts the damping force of shocks when driving over bumpy surfaces, or when cornering. The system uses a center control absorber to cross-link shocks on opposite corners of the vehicle, substantially reducing pitch and yaw by offsetting opposing inputs.

The 2010 4Runner is powered by a new 4.0L V6, which now generates 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. Through the use of advanced engine management that includes dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), the new 4.0L engine offers the best of both worlds, adding more power while improving efficiency. The 2010 4Runner dumps its 4.7-liter V8 not only in the name of fuel economy, but also because its six-cylinder has had its output ramped up significantly. Improvements to the 4.0L V6’s variable valve timing on both intake and exhaust sides now mean 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft, channeled through the sole gearbox: a five-speed automatic.

The 2010 Toyota 4Runner also features Toyota’s new Safety Connect telematics system, which offers (by subscription only) automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, emergency assist and roadside assistance. The 2010 Toyota 4Runner is redesigned with freshened styling, more V6 power, and a new 4-cylinder engine. This midsize SUV uses traditional truck-type construction.

The 2010 4Runner also offers a lot of entertainment features, including a standard five-speaker (Trail) or eight-speaker (SR5) CD stereo system with XM satellite radio capability. A premium 15-speaker JBL audio system is available, and adds Bluetooth, iPod and MP3 control.

The 2010 Toyota 4Runner will start at $29,975 for the base SR5 4×2 model. The 2010 4Runner SR5 4×4 will start at $34,450. Please share your thoughts and opinions regarding to this Toyota 4Runner review in a comment below the post.
